Day 8: Home, sweet home

Our checkout time was 10AM, and so we ushered ourselves out of the apartment complex and lugged around our luggage. Because we didn't want to carry our heavy bags around until noon, I offered to sit myself down to get a hair wrap, whilst they go do something else as I took care of our bags (they ended up going to the pet store, which was a 5 minute walk from the hair wrap place I was located at).After my friends picked up their bags and I finished getting my hair wrap, we sat ourselves down at a Gloria Jeans cafe and chilled until lunch time, we also went to a candle store where Leanne bought a souvenir for someone I can't remember...haha!  I didn't take many pictures, but this photo below was us the five of us checking in with Leanne (because she took a separate flight back to Sydney).  Oh! And I met a friend in the Gold Coast airport bathroom! It's such a small world right?! I was washing my hands when I looked up into the mirror, and to my right, I saw an old high school friend who was applying eyeliner! I didn't take any photos with her, since we were in the bathroom and all, but it was nice running into a buddy elsewhere than Sydney! Labels: family, friends, vacation |
