18th Birthday Dinner

Here’s the fun part. The part where I get to celebrate with family, my friends and family friends! I got myself ready (showered, dried and hair straightened) by 4PM, in time for my dear mother to help me with make-up. Laura came home with my parents and as we planned, she was going to sleep over, because she had no way of getting home so late at night.

We got to Bar Luck around 6PM and there I started to organise seating arrangements. I’m a freak when it comes to organisation, so I made sticky name tags so that I would have to introduce my friends a million times to one another, and because I didn’t want to direct people to their seats. All I had to say was: “There are name tags placed on the bowls, go find your name and that is where you’re going to sit.”

So who came? Boner, Claire, Gerry, Jason, Jennifer, Kathy, Kayla, Lara, Laura, Leanne, Loretta, Marsha, Patty, Rosa, Suvanna, Vicky and Wendy. Initially more people were going to come but some people pulled out last minute because they had work, some were overseas/going overseas the next day, family gathering and other birthday parties. Originally on the invite it said “6.30PM-9.30PM” but it ended up being 6.30PM-11PM, so I’m thankful to you guys for coming and making my day so much more enjoyable!

It was an eight-course meal, so I warned my friends before hand to starve the whole of Saturday if they eat very little. I think the best part of the eight-course meal was the birthday cake, haha, but that’s because I’m a sucker for dessert!

After the cake-cutting, I opened my presents (I was squealing inside, because I don’t think I’ve received so many presents before. I love you, my friends!). So here is a breakdown of what I received from my fabulous darlings.

All the gift bags and cards I received~ and the awesome camera from my Godmother.

From Gerry, Jason and Jennifer. The bottom right hand corner is another hoodie they have me (in action, haha). There was also a random Barbie shoe in the bag as well~

This major basket contained a billion things in it, everything I love and need and will use/eat. This present was from Kayla, Leanne and Suvanna.
